A Memorandum of  understanding on scientific cooperation has been signed between the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the Tashkent National Research University of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

   Representatives of the aforementioned University of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry. They met with the director general of the İnstitute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev.

   During the meeting, Professor Alovsat Guliyev highly appreciated the university's achievements in the field of science and education, emphasizing that it is one of the leading higher education and research institutions not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the world. He noted that, the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry in the Republic of Azerbaijan is also a leading scientific research center in this field and said that, the Institute will celebrate its 80th anniversary this year.

   At the end of the meeting, an official Memorandum was signed between the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry and the National Research University TIIMS to expand scientific and academic cooperation. The document envisages the development of mutually beneficial cooperation, the implementation of joint scientific research, as well as the development of projects related to water resources management, including underground canals (Kahrizes).

   At the end of the meeting, which took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the parties presented each other with valuable gifts. This Memorandum will further deepen relations between the scientific and research institutes of both countries and promote the implementation of new successful projects.
