The meeting  on the occasion of February 2 - "Youth Day" was organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of ANAS.The meeting was opened by the Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev. He noted that, "Youth Day" was celebrated in Azerbaijan for the first time in the Eastern Europe, noting that national leader Heydar Aliyev signed an order on February 1, 1997 "On declaring February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day."    Today, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev confirms, the National Leader's commitment to youth policy with his decisions.The youth policy pursued by our state has an important role in the formation of the Azerbaijani youth today as a modern, developed and leading force. Alovsat Guliyev stressed that, the issues of strengthening the scientific activities of young people, their active participation in the promotion of science, increasing their prospects.The scientist congratulated the young people of the Institute and wished them success in their scientific activities.
  Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Institute Mammad Mammadov congratulated, the youth of the Institute and called on them to be worthy of the care shown to them by the leadership of the republic. He noted that, the vast majority of our martyrs who died for the liberation of our occupied lands are our youth.
  Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry Tarlan Yelmarli said that, today, the Youth of Azerbaijan worthily protect the national interests of our people.
