On May 30, 2025, the Agricultural Business Festival was held in the territory of the Guba “ASAN service” center, jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Guba District Executive Power, the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Guba “ASAN service” center, with the aim of promoting and encouraging agricultural innovations.

   The main goal of the festival is to expand access to agricultural products and innovative technologies for farmers living in the regions.

  The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education participated in the festival through the Mobile Agricultural Laboratory.

  The executive director of the İnstitute, PhD in biology, associate professor - Gulchohra Huseynova, PhD in agrarian sciences -Vugar Jafarov, and research assistant - Leyla Babayeva participated in the event and answered questions on topics of interest to farmers.

  Experts have determined the amount of nutrients (NPK) and humus in the soil, and the fertilizer rate needed by the soil has been determined, which serves to protect the soil from chemical pollution and regulate the ecological situation. At the same time, the agrophysical properties and granulometric composition of the soil were determined, the reaction of the soil environment (pH) was determined, and the processes of salinization and salinization in the soil were evaluated.

  In addition, a plan of measures against irrigation erosion was proposed, advice was given on modern irrigation systems for water conservation, and scientific recommendations were presented for efficient land use.

  The festival was attended by farmers and entrepreneurs operating in the Guba region, as well as representatives of the regional community.

  It should be noted, that employees of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated not only in the demonstration of agricultural products and technologies within the framework of the festival, but also in panel discussions held in the assembly hall of the Shahdag Guba Truskavets Hotel on the topic of "State Financial Mechanisms".
