The guest of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was Dr. Mahammad Taghi Sattari, a professor at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tabriz, Islamic Republic of Iran, and a well-known scientist at the Department of Water Engineering (Hydroinformatics Department).

   The guests were welcomed at the meeting by the director general of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev, vice-executive director, Ph.D., associate professor Gulchohra Huseynova, and employees of the Institute.

   Dr. Muhammad Taghi Sattari provided information about his scientific activities in his speech and presented his articles located in the Google Scholar database. The scientist mainly touched on the topics of water resources management, modeling of hydrological processes, and the application of artificial intelligence methods. He also shared the results of his research in the fields of precipitation data processing, river flow and evaporation prediction, and groundwater quality assessment, and provided practical recommendations.

   During the meeting, scientific discussions were held with the Institute's employees, mutual question-and-answer sessions were held, and future cooperation opportunities were considered. Scientists and Institute representatives emphasized the importance of conducting joint research, especially in the field of hydroinformatics.

   The meeting, which was remembered for its fruitful scientific discussions and exchange of ideas, opened new perspectives for strengthening scientific relations between scientists from both Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
