The Central Scientific Library of ANAS prepared a bibliographic index of soil scientist Alovsat Guliyev from the series "Scientific and cultural figures of Azerbaijan".
    AZERTAC informs that, the main stages of the scientific, scientific-organizational, field research-soil-geological research, pedagogical and social activities of ANAS correspondent member, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor Alovsat Guliyev are reflected in the bibliographic index.
   The index covers the main moments of the scientist's life, books, articles published in separate collections and periodicals in Azerbaijani and other languages, reports at international symposiums and conferences, scientific sessions, textbooks for higher schools, scientific works edited by him, dissertations he supervised. While compiling the essay on the scientist's scientific, pedagogical and social activities, his personal archive and Internet resources were used, and the materials were placed in chronological order.
   The material fully reflects the Zangezur, Iravan, Nakhchivan and Baku periods of Alovsat Guliyev's life. It is noted that, Alovsat Guliyev is a well-known and accepted scientist not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the territory of the former USSR, as well as in the world. He is a member of UNESCO's interstate board of directors on "Ancient hydraulic systems-kahriz (ganat).
   The bibliographic index was compiled by Sultan Huseynova and Svetlana Eyyubova, PhDs in agricultural sciences. The editor of the book is academician Maharram Babayev, the translator into English is Aydan Salimbayli.
