   The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources with the support of the Global Ecology Fund, "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" (COP-29) within the framework of the project "Towards Land Degradation Neutrality Azerbaijan" jointly implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Regional Ecological Center for the Caucasus and on the eve of "Earth Day" on April 22, a tree planting action was held in Siyazan district.

  The Employee of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Assistant Professor Zaman Mammadov participated in the tree planting action within the project.

  During the event held with the participation of the Siyazan District Executive Authority, Non-Governmental Organizations and eco-volunteers, global environmental challenges such as prevention of land degradation, restoration and expansion of green zones, climate change, environmental protection were discussed, and various types of trees suitable for soil and climate conditions were planted in the area.
