On May 14, 2024 at Azerbaijan State Agrarian University dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the republican scientific-practical conference was held on "International Plant Health Day: plant factor in sustainable agriculture". It should be noted that, the General Assembly of the United Nations declared May 12 as the" International Plant Health Day" every year. Every year, in many countries of the world, on that day, a number of measures are taken to ensure plant health and protect the environment.

   The conference was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture of EGE University, Department of Organization and Monitoring of Crop Production of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Safety Agency, Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Agrarian Services it was held in partnership with the Agency, Lankaran State University and "Azerpambig" LLC.

   General director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev spoke at the conference and spoke about the importance of the event.

   In his speech, the scientist noted that, the soil is fertile and rich in organic matter, increasing productivity is of great importance for plant health.
