An event was held in connection with September 27 Memorial Day at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event started by commemorating the dear memory of the martyrs who died heroically in the 44-day Patriotic War of Azerbaijan, and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

   The event was opened by the director general of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev. He touched on the historical victory of our army under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and spoke about the glorious history written by our heroic soldiers and officers for the Motherland. Alovsat Guliyev noted in his speech that, the research conducted in these holy lands was possible thanks to the sacrifice of our martyrs. These lands are not only a field of science for us, but also a intrusted of our martyrs.The scientist said that, our lands, which were taken back from the enemy on the battlefield, will be revived with the scientific research of our scientists.

  Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Institute, PhD in Agrarian Sciences - Mammad Mammadov made a speech and spoke about the importance of the memorial day. He noted that, the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland will live forever in the memory of our people. Speaking at the event, Vilayat Hasanov noted that, this victory of ours was a proof of diplomatic activity in addition to military power, properly established relations with world states and Azerbaijan's rightful position at the international level.

  A participant in the Patriotic War, Lieutenant-Colonel and the head of the Institute's Civil Defense headquarters - Ruslan Mahammadov, shared his memories of the war with the participants of the event and spoke about the bravery of the heroic fighters.

   In the end, the Young Scientist of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry and Chairman of the Council of Experts - Tarlan Yelmarli and member of the council - Ali Gozelzade delivered a report and expressed their respect to the dear memory of our martyrs.
