The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting was opened by the Director of the Institute, Chairman of the Council, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev. 

   The "Land Reclamation" laboratory presented its final report for 2024. The director of the laboratory, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Mustafa Mustafayev, gave brief information about the scientific research works and noted that , 4 cases were included in the topic "Development of new technology in the reclamation of salinized and salinized lands in the Republic". Council members discussed the report extensively and asked questions, and in the end, the report of the laboratory was voted and accepted.

   Later, other issues on the agenda of the Scientific Council were discussed. The issues of appointing, a senior researcher of the laboratory of modern problems of irrigation - Shabnam Mammadova, as a scientific advisor for her doctoral dissertation and a researcher of the laboratory of soil-agrochemical research and mass analysis - Elnara Abbasova of issuing were also approved.

   The next topic of discussion of the Scientific Council was the "Solidarity for a Green World: Climate Change and Environmental Protection" Conference, which will be held online on November 5, 2024. The participants were given detailed information about the purpose, agenda and organizational. At the meeting, the participants were advised to make the necessary preparations for attending the conference and presenting.

   During the meeting, the employees of the institute were also informed about the activities and work regime related to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) and the 6th session of the Meeting of the Parties.
