The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Council, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev. The Institute's "Soil Genesis, Geography and Cartography" laboratory presented its annual report for 2024 at the meeting. The leading scientific worker of the laboratory - Sultan Huseynova, gave brief information about the scientific research works performed in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year and noted that, "Genetic diagnosis and mapping of taxonomic units of Azerbaijani lands with innovative methods, (Soil geographic information systems and soil cover structure, a complex topic with soil physics laboratories)" 7 works were included in the topic.

   Then, Head of the "Land Geographical Information Systems" laboratory, corresponding member of ANAS - Amin Ismayilov presented his annual report for 2024. He gave brief information about the scientific research works performed in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year. He noted that, 4 works were included in the topic "Development of the scientific basis of the Land Geographical Information System of Azerbaijan in accordance with international integration requirements" and gave information about the works. The head of the laboratory and his employees gave detailed information about the work they did and answered the questions.

   The presented final reports were widely discussed by the council members and questions were answered. The annual report of both laboratories for 2024 was voted and accepted at the end.

   The "Soil cover of the economic regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan" by head of the Soil Geographical Information Systems Laboratory, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Amin Ismayilov, and  Head of the Soil Cover Structure Laboratory, Professor Vilayat Hasanov the issue of printing monograph was discussed and a decision was made at the meeting.
