An event was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of February 2 - Youth Day. The meeting was opened by the Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev. The scientist emphasized that, Youth Day was celebrated in Azerbaijan for the first time in the CIS and Eastern European countries, noting that, the National Leader Heydar Aliyev signed a decree on February 1, 1997 "On the Declaration of February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day". Alovsat Guliyev, who warmly congratulated the young people of the institute, wished them success in their future activities and offered his recommendations.
Later, Tarlan Yelmarli, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, spoke about the successful youth policy implemented in our country. He emphasized that, the decrees, orders, and laws signed for the development of youth create a solid foundation for the future success of the younger generation.
At the event, the scientific secretary of the institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Agrarian Sciences Sultan Huseynova, congratulated the young people of the institute and wished them new successes in their scientific activities. Young scientists of the institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Roza Mammadova and Doctor of Philosophy in Agrarian Sciences Rahila Islamzadeh, spoke about the importance and history of this day in their speeches, noting that the establishment of Youth Day is a shining example of the attention and care shown to the youth of Azerbaijan. They also emphasized the role of this focus in the scientific activities of young people in the modern era.
At the end, a group of young people who distinguished themselves in the scientific and social activities of the İnstitute were awarded certificates of appreciation.
