Chief Specialist for Project Management of the Reserves Management Center of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan- Sheyda Allahverdiyeva and other architectural employees of the agency visited the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The guests met with the director general of the İnstitute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev. The meeting included a broad exchange of views on the geological structure of the city of Shusha and research conducted on ancient water bodies. In particular, the determination of the direction of seepage water based on the characteristics of the city's soil e beginning of the century were discussed. During the meeting, Professor Alovsat Guliyev provided extensive information about underground water bodies that once played an important role in providing water to the local population in Shusha and the Karabakh region in general. He touched on the importance of these water sources not only technically, but also historically, ecologically, and in terms of tourism. It was noted that, these wells have great potential in sustainable water management, agriculture, and the development of ecotourism. Representatives of the State Tourism Agency evaluated the possibilities of including these historical water bodies located in Shusha in ecotourism routes in the future and presenting them to tourists. The meeting also discussed the possibilities of combining scientific knowledge with practical projects in this direction.

   Doctoral (minimum) exams are held for doctoral students and dissertation candidates in preparation for a Doctor of Philosophy degree as part of the spring exam session at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

   Doctoral student Gunel Mirzali-Agataghi participated in the exam organized on June 3, 2025 in the specialty "Ecology". According to the decision of the examination committee, the participant successfully completed the exam and was awarded an "excellent" (5) grade.
