   The soil reclamation laboratory was established in 1975 by Professor Mukhtar Rzagulu Oghlu Abduyev  and he headed that laboratory until 1979. In 1979-1984, the laboratory was headed by  doctor of science in agriculture - N. Rzayev, and in 1984-2016 by  doctor of science in agriculture- V. Ahmadov  since 2016, that laboratory has been headed by doctor of science in agriculture - Farhad Sadigov.

   The main activity of the laboratory is the recultivation of technogenically polluted, mainly old oil exploitation territory soils and currently affected by oil extraction and industrial works, including the reclamation of rehabilitation with the application of the most modern bio-recultivation methods and the application of research results.

   A number of employees of the laboratory participated in the implementation of various grant projects, including projects financed by the NATO Science Committee and the World Bank.

   11 employees work in the laboratory. Among them, laboratory director, 6 leading scientific workers, 1 scientific worker, 1 junior scientific worker, 2 senior laboratory assistants, 1 specialist.
