On May 13, the 18th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition ("Caspian Agro"), one of the largest and most prestigious events in the country's agricultural and food industry, began its work at the Baku Expo Center.
The exhibition covers all pavilions and the open area. More than 450 companies from 31 countries participated in this year's event. In addition to Azerbaijan, Germany, the USA, Belarus, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, China, Finland, Georgia, India, Jordan, Iran, Spain, Israel, Sweden, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Sri Lanka are represented. The exhibition creates opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, investors, and agricultural experts to exchange ideas, connect with business partners, and learn about the latest technologies applied in the field.
The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan also participated in the exhibition with its own stand. Representatives of the Institute provided exhibition visitors and farmers with detailed information about the work carried out in the field of efficient use of land resources, agrochemical analyses, increasing soil fertility, and restoring degraded lands. The stand also presented information about current research projects implemented by the Institute and the Mobile Agricultural Laboratory. The employees spoke about the application of modern technologies, especially GIS and remote sensing methods, in soil science research, and explained how these technologies contribute to the decision-making process in the agricultural sector.
