An event was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 8, Victory Day.

   A commemorative event was organized at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day. The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the country and the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

   In his speech, the Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Alovsat Guliyev congratulated the participants of the event on Victory Day and noted the importance of the victory won by our Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. He noted that, this victory was possible thanks to the great sacrifice and bravery of our soldiers, thereby restoring the territorial integrity of our country. Alovsat Guliyev spoke about the glorious path of our servicemen who showed heroism in the 44-day Patriotic War, stating that they are a source of pride and honor for every Azerbaijani citizen.

   Lieutenant Colonel Ruslan Mahammadov, Chief of the Civil Defense Headquarters of the Institute and participant in the Patriotic War, spoke at the event and shared his memories of the battles. He spoke about the events he experienced during the Patriotic War, as well as the difficult and proud moments he went through with his colleagues. Ruslan Mahammadov emphasized that, battles carry both great responsibility for every soldier and high moral value of service to the homeland.

   Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Zaman Mammadov, PhD in Biology, described the Patriotic War, which began on September 27 and lasted 44 days, as one of the brightest pages of our history. He spoke about the importance of the historic victory in the Patriotic War and said that as a result of this war, Azerbaijan returned its lands that had been occupied for 30 years.
