   An event was held on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day, organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Experts at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry. At the event, the souls of our martyrs who died for our lands were remembered with a minute of silence and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The General Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Alovsat Guliyev, who opened the event with his opening speech, congratulated the participants on the Victory Day. The victory of our brave army under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev is one of the brightest pages of our history.

   The scientist noted that, historical justice and the territorial integrity of our country were restored as a result of this victory won at the cost of bravery, life and blood of our soldiers. Alovsat Guliyev spoke about the war path of our sons who wrote a glorious history in the 44-day Patriotic War and noted that everyone is proud of them today.

   The Participant of the Patriotic War, head of the Civil Defense headquarters of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, lieutenant colonel Ruslan Mammadov shared his memories of the war. He noted that, those on the rear front showed solidarity and did not spare the help they could to those fighting on the front. Our victorious army showed its strength on the battlefield for 44 days. As a result of the decisive position of the Supreme Commander, November 8 was recorded in our glorious history as Victory Day. Vladimir Gurbanov, a veteran of the First Karabakh War, who also spoke at the event, shared his impressions about the war with the event participants. Associate professor Zaman Mammadov, who spoke at the event, said that the Patriotic War, which started on September 27, lasted 44 days and resulted in the return of our occupied territories, including Nagorno-Karabakh, is one of the brightest pages in our history.

   Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Experts of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry Tarlan Yelmarlı, noted that, our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland will always live forever in our hearts, at the event.

   In the end, a video dedicated to November 8 – Victory Day was presented to the participants of the event.
