Nakhchivan State University Authorized Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "Return to West Azerbaijan" festival-congress was held under the joint organization of  Nakhchivan State University and West Azerbaijan Community.

   On December 24, 2022, in accordance with the tasks defined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev during his meeting with a group of intellectuals from West Azerbaijan, systematic measures are being held in our country regarding the return to West Azerbaijan. The next festival-congress "Return to Western Azerbaijan" held in Nakhchivan is also a part of the work done in this field in our country.

   General director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, corresponding member of It should be noted that, along with a number of officials, rectors of prestigious universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey, prominent researchers participated in the event ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev delivered a report on "Environmental problems created by Armenians in Zangezur" at the conference. Alovsat Guliyev noted that, the most ecological problems occur in the basins of Okchu River, Bazarchay River and Mehri River, in Armenia. The Okchu River, which is the most dangerous source of them, is polluted with heavy metals. Reservoirs have been built on Bazarchay, which is another source of danger, and 3 hydropower plants are operating. The scientist said that, Armenia has caused irreparable damage to the natural resources and natural environment of the occupied territories for nearly 30 years. The scientist's speech was received with interest by the conference participants. It should be noted that, along with a number of officials, rectors of prestigious universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey, prominent researchers participated in the event.
