   On October 23, a forum entitled "Conserving Biological Diversity: Botany, Ecology, and Green Cities" was organized at the Institute of Botany. The forum took place within the framework of COP29 and the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World", and discussions were held to protect ecosystems and increase biodiversity. The Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Prof. Alovsat Guliyev, delivered a report entitled "Opportunities for Creating a Green Growth Platform" at the event. In his report, Prof. Alovsat Guliyev emphasized the importance of new approaches and strategies to promote green growth and noted the need to implement various scientific and practical measures to protect biological diversity.

   The main topics of the forum were the effects of climate change on flora and fauna, environmental protection with the participation of the public and private sectors, It covers the possibilities of creating a relevant national platform, the promotion of green life in areas.

   Scientists, researchers, and ecologists participating in the event discussed the importance of preserving biodiversity and highlighted the importance of applying botanical and ecological approaches in the development of green cities. The forum continued with plenary sessions in 3 panels on 12 topics. Extensive discussions were held around the reports. At the end, certificates were presented to the participants.
