 The main activities of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry:

 

  1. Morphogenetic diagnostics, nomenclature, international classification and mapping of Azerbaijani soils;
  2. Creating a database based on modern requirements of the land information system and digital mapping of lands;
  3. Agroecology and valuation of the lands;
  4. Research of agrochemical and ecological problems of application of mineral and organic-mineral fertilizers in agriculture, monitoring of soil nutrient reserves and practical and theoretical bases.
  5. Development of systems of measures against soil salinization, irrigation erosion and pollution;
  6. Scientific and experimental substantiation of ways of efficient use of irrigation water in our country.
