Corresponding member of ANAS, professor Alovsat Guliyev participates in the meeting of the working group on the establishment of drinking water supply system of Shusha city and Dashalti village.

     On April 19, the next discussion of the state commission established within Azersu OJSC for the purpose of “Preparation of feasibility study and preliminary design documents for the establishment of a sustainable drinking water supply system in Shusha city and Dashalti village of Shusha region” was held in Shusha.The event was also attended by the Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev.

     The meeting was informed about the urgent work done to restore the drinking water supply of Shusha and promising projects, and made presentations on the impact of climate change on water resources. It was noted that, after the liberation of Shusha, the Kichik Kirs and Zarisli springs, which supply water to the city, were restored in a short time.Prospective projects for the reconstruction of drinking water and wastewater systems in Shusha, the application of innovative technologies in this area and environmental impact assessment were also discussed.

The meeting, which took place in Shusha, was attended by employees and specialists of Azersu OJSC and other government agencies included in the working group.
     At the end of the event, members of the Working Group inspected the construction site of the new reservoir and got acquainted with the geographical location and relief of the area.
