On November 16-17, The international scientific conference called "Мангистау в потоке истории" was held in Aktau, Mangistau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. General director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, corresponding member of ANAS, Alovsat Guliyev, made a speech on the topic “Волго-Каспийский коридор как ответвление великого шелкового пути на две ветви”.
In his report, Alovsat Guliyev talked about the branching of the Great Silk Road from the place where it ends around the Volga Caspian to Europe. The report was based on research materials conducted by the scientist in 2010, in the fortress cities of Sauron, Otrar, Karatube, near the city of Turkestan in South Kazakhstan, in 2014, in the cities of Bukhara, Navai and Nurata in Uzbekistan water systems.Alovsat Guliyev's speech was received with interest by the conference participants.
Scientists, archaeologists, local historians, heads of regional offices, specialists in the field of protection of historical and cultural heritage monuments from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Italy participated in the conference and gave speeches.
On November 17, the conference participants visited the Kuyeutam tomb, Choban Ata shrine and Beket Ata shrine, located in Mangistau region, and got acquainted with the preservation of grave monuments and tombs, and the preservation of spiritual heritage.
They got acquainted with the exposition of Mangistau region historical-cultural reserve and Mangistau historical-geographical museum.
