Soil Geographic Information Systems Laboratory and Soil Erosion Laboratories have presented their final report for 2022.

   The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry. The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Council, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev. Later, Amin Ismayilov, head of the Institute's "Land geographic information systems" laboratory, corresponding member of ANAS, presented the final report for 2022. He gave brief information about the scientific research works performed in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year and he noted that the topic "Development of the scientific basis of the Land Geographical Information System of Azerbaijan in accordance with the requirements of international integration" includes 4 works. Extensive information was also given about the complex work of the laboratory with other laboratories of the Institute.

   Then Zakir Aliyev, head of the Institute's "Soil Erosion" laboratory, presented the final report for 2021. He gave brief information about the scientific research works performed in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year and he noted that, in the topic "Research of development regularities of the erosion process in different natural landscape zones of Azerbaijan and substantiation of the scientific-practical importance of the existing problem" 4 works were included. In the report, employees of the laboratory PhD in Agricultural Sciences - Kamala Babayeva, Doctor of Geographical science -  Knyaz Afkarov informed about the work they did and answered the questions.

   The presented final reports were widely discussed by the council members and questions were answered. In the end, the annual report of the "Land geographic information systems" laboratory for 2022 was voted and unanimously adopted. The annual report of the "Soil Erosion" laboratory for 2022 was tentatively accepted considering that it is temporary.
