The whole world is currently experiencing a new wave of coronavirus pandemics. In this situation, like all countries, Azerbaijan is taking preventive measures against COVID-19.The most effective way out of the current situation is to involve the majority of the population in the vaccination process. For this purpose, our state has taken all steps to obtain the necessary amount of various vaccines and bring them to our country.
Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev said in a statement to AZERTAC.
He said that comprehensive measures are being taken to prevent the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Republic of Azerbaijan on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the increase in the number of coronavirus infections in the country may lead to the strengthening of anti-pandemic measures. That is why the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry strictly follows the rules of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers. Taking into account the current preventive situation, protective medical masks and disinfectants are used, attention is paid to the established social distance. Laboratory rooms and corridors of the institute are disinfected with special drugs. Employees entering the building get acquainted with the information boards hung in the lobby, are provided with protective masks, gloves and disinfectant materials, and the temperature of employees is constantly checked.
The director of the institute noted that it is possible to return to normal life only by following the rules, getting vaccinated, and everyone must fight the pandemic together.
Many of our employees, who are sensitive to their health and consider it a civic duty to be vaccinated, have already been vaccinated, and this process is ongoing.
A.Guliyev stressed that the fight against COVID-19 is a long-term process, and preventive measures against the disease should be continued. For this reason, our citizens must be active in the vaccination process and follow the requirements and recommendations of the Operational Staff.
