The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Council, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev.The first heard the final report of the "Soil cover structure" laboratory for 2023 at the meeting.The director of the laboratory - Vilayat Hasanov, gave brief information about the scientific research works carried out in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year.He noted that, the topic "Study of the effect of relief-soil relations on soil properties and soil cover structures in different landscape zones of Azerbaijan with modern methods (relief plasticity, remote sensing, GIS) and modeling based on reference areas" included 5 works.In the report, other employees of the laboratory answered questions about their work.
Next, the laboratory of the "Soil Mineralogy and Chemistry" presented its final report for 2023.Maleyka Ahmadova, who replaced the director of the laboratory, gave brief information about the scientific research works performed in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year. He noted that 4 works were included in the topic "Proportion of minerals in Azerbaijani soils, diagnosis of soil condition and the effect of non-traditional minerals on changes in soil properties".
Then, head of the laboratory of the "Modern Problems of Irrigation" - Nadir Nadirov presented the final report for 2023.He gave brief information about the scientific research works performed in the laboratory according to the subject plan in the reporting year and noted that, the topic "Research of irrigation technologies that, ensure efficient use of existing water resources and soil protection in different regions of Azerbaijan" and included 2 works.The presented final reports were widely discussed by the council members, questions were answered. In the end, the annual report of all three laboratories for 2023 was voted and accepted.
