The "Nakhchivan Forum of Agronomists within the Framework of Public-Private Partnership" was held at the Business Center in Nakhchivan city, jointly organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Representatives of the public and private sectors, agronomists, scientists, farmers, and other specialists in the agricultural sector participated in the forum and exchanged views on the current state and development prospects of agronomy.
The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education also actively participated in the event. The executive director of the institute, PhD in biology, associate professor Gulchohra Huseynova, directly communicated with farmers and other people interested in the agricultural sector within the forum and answered their questions.
A panel discussion on state support mechanisms in the agricultural sector was also organized within the framework of the forum. The panel discussed important issues such as state support mechanisms in agriculture, access to subsidies, providing farmers with certified seeds, equipping agronomists with modern knowledge and skills, and implementing intensive irrigation systems.
In addition, the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry also participated in the Agrarian Business Festival and Seed Exhibition and Sales Fair, held on September 30 in a park located near the Sharur District Executive Power building. The fair presented professional advice on soil fertility, fertilization, plant nutrition, and other relevant topics.
The Employees of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education have always provided scientific, methodological and practical support to farmers in various fields. This tradition of the Institute is successfully continued today.
